Hayes M. Walker, III

Mr. Walker is copresenting Workshop T4, "Builders Risk Insurance—Not Just Sticks and Bricks," on Tuesday afternoon. Mr. Walker has provided a variety of complex valuation, forensic accounting, and litigation support services to public and private corporations since 1994. He has developed widespread experience in financial consulting and analyses related to insurance claims matters from the perspective of the affected insured.

Mr. Walker's current responsibilities include measurement of gross earnings/business interruption losses and inventory losses and analysis of increased operational expenses, inefficiencies, and business disruptions.

Representative assignments on which he has worked in recent years include: NY Palace Hotel; Morgan Stanley; Vishay Intertechnology; ACS Industries; York International; St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital; PCS Nitrogen; Boral Industries; Gerber Childrenswear; Malden Mills; PerkinElmer, Inc. ; MeriStar Hospitality Corporation; IP Casino—Resort-Spa; and Tessco Technologies.

Mr. Walker is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Virginia. He is a member of the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a major in Accounting from James Madison University. Mr. Walker has testified on numerous occasions, most recently in New Orleans related to Hurricane Katrina. Mr. Walker has been involved in several insurance appraisals and major mediations over the last several years.
