Robert H. Hunt Jr.

Mr. Hunt is copresenting Workshop W5, "Keeping Safety at the Forefront," on Wednesday morning. He has been in charge of the safety management division of ACIG since March 1995 and heads up a group of six highly qualified professional consultants. His group is responsible for providing high-level management consulting to 39 privately held construction companies, the majority of which are listed in ENR's Top 400 construction firms.

Prior to joining ACIG he spent 18 years with Brown & Root, a large engineering and construction firm located in Houston. He has over 30 years' experience in construction safety and over 35 years' experience in the construction industry.

He is a Certified Safety Professional and holds that designation in the areas of Comprehensive Practice and Construction Specialty. He worked closely with the Board of Certified Safety Professionals in validating the examination criteria for the Construction specialty designation. He is a Professional member of the American Society of Safety Engineers and serves on the Board of Directors of the Texas Safety Foundation.
