Mr. Hall is one of the panelists for Workshop M1, "Insurance
Underwriter Perspectives and Prognostications," on Monday. He is Senior Vice President, ACE
USA Construction. Based in New York City, Mr. Hall is responsible for
leading the domestic underwriting strategies of ACE USA's Construction
Industry Practice Group, part of ACE Casualty Risk Division. Mr. Hall
manages a countrywide team of more than 150 construction professionals
dedicated to addressing the unique insurance needs of builders and
contractors.
With more than 22 years of diverse experience in the insurance arena, Mr.
Hall spent nearly 19 years at American International Group (AIG), where he
held a variety of marketing and underwriting positions in its construction
and healthcare casualty underwriting units. For the first half of his
career, Mr. Hall provided healthcare professional liability to hospitals,
clinical research organizations and various other free standing medical
facilities with a primary focus in the Northeast region.
Over the past 13 years, Mr. Hall has been focused exclusively on providing
Contractor Casualty Programs, Owner Controlled Insurance Programs,
Contractor Controlled Insurance Programs, Construction Joint Ventures and
Industrial Construction Maintenance Programs, for projects relating to
transportation infrastructure, bridge rehabilitation, highway, street and
road expansion, commercial, mixed use and residential construction. In
addition, he has worked with specialty and general contractors.
Mr. Hall has served as a speaker on numerous industry panels, and recently
coauthored an article on the effect of stimulus funding on the insurance
industry titled: "Impact of U.S. Stimulus Bill on Infrastructure: Risk
Management Challenges and Opportunities."
Mr. Hall earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Hobart College,
in Geneva, N.Y.
