Michael Feigin

Mr. Feigin is one of the presenters for Workshop M4, "Filling Your 'Green' Toolbox," on Monday. He is the Marsh Global Construction Industry Practice Leader. He leads a dedicated team of industry specialists and subject matter experts who represent home builders, contractors, and subcontractors; owners and developers; and architects and engineers.

Mr. Feigin is involved with insurance program design and implementation and he assists with risk analysis and consulting solutions. Significant risks face owners, contractors, subcontractors, and design professionals that are specific to their industry focus, and Marsh is partnering with them to identify and implement solutions.

Prior to joining Marsh, Mr. Feigin was Executive Vice President, Chief Administrative Officer, of Bovis Lend Lease Holdings, Inc., the parent company of all Bovis Lend Lease operating companies in the Americas. Bovis Lend Lease is a global construction management firm, with over 7,000 employees and offices in over 35 countries. In his capacity as Chief Administrative Officer, Mr. Feigin was responsible for commercial risk management, legal services, insurance and bonding, human resources, information technology, and corporate affairs. Mr. Feigin is the past President of Canopy, Inc., Lend Lease's captive insurance company, and was on the Board of the WTC Captive, the insurance company established to cover liability at Ground Zero. Mr. Feigin also held the following positions at Bovis Lend Lease: Head of Risk, General Counsel, and General Manager of the Northeast Region. Mr. Feigin also was a Development Director for AvalonBay Communities, one of the largest residential REITs in the United States. He has significant experience in the real estate and construction industries, with emphasis in the risk management needs of both large global, as well as smaller regional real estate, design, and construction companies. A frequent speaker on topics related to risk and insurance, Mr. Feigin is recognized as a thought leader in the area of managing risk in the construction setting. He holds a B.A. from Yale University and a J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
