Mr. Conway, a panelist for Tuesday’s General Session, “Rebuilding the World Trade Center: A Case Study in Safety and Risk Management,” is president of construction risk management and surety for risk management, Chartis Insurance. Additionally, he is the chief executive leading construction solutions, an integrated service platform that provides seamless access to a full range of commercial insurance products and services to the construction industry.

Mr. Conway has more than 21 years of field and home office underwriting experience. He began his career at Commercial Insurance in 1995 working in the Philadelphia region. In 1998, he joined Construction Risk Management as divisional vice president and was appointed president of the division in 2004. Before joining Commercial Insurance, Mr. Conway spent 9 years with a Pennsylvania-based commercial carrier, where he was responsible for underwriting and managing package business. Previously, he spent 8 years in the manufacturing sector working in the area of plastics and specializing in injection molding.

Mr. Conway holds a B.S. degree in risk management from Temple University.

His speaking engagements include Temple University (2006 through 2009), International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (2005), Associated General Contractors of America (2010), and the University of Georgia (2006, 2007).
