Frank Catalano

Mr. Catalano is one of the presenters for Workshop M3, “Building a Better Builders Risk Program,” on Monday. Since 1999, Mr. Catalano has served as executive vice president, Property Department manager for AmWINS Brokerage of Illinois. He co-manages an office staff of 35 property, casualty, and professional liability insurance professionals with an office premium of $110 million.

Mr. Catalano manages the property department and brokers $60-plus million in premium for various lines of property and construction insurance.

Mr. Catalano also serves as the AmWINS/Colemont Construction Practice Group leader. In this role, he coordinates builder’s risk market intelligence and assists colleagues from around the country in structuring programs for specific projects. He is a clearinghouse for information about construction market trends.

Prior to AmWINS, Mr. Catalano created Wholesale Property Departments for Tri-City Brokerage and Crump Insurance Brokerage in Chicago. He began his career as a property underwriter with Crum & Forster and Hudson Insurance Co.

Mr. Catalano earned his bachelor of science in human resource management from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois.
