Mr. Anderson is presenting Workshop T6, "Expectations for the Surety Market," on Tuesday afternoon. He is Willis HRH's practice leader for Contract Surety. In his current position, he is responsible for the placement and management of surety clients' program capacity, driving innovation in Willis' "Best Practices" for its surety business, and maintaining and enhancing the Practice's surety carrier relationships.

He began his surety career at Seaboard Surety Company in 1983. Mr. Anderson has worked in field and home office underwriting positions, as well as senior management positions in both underwriting and operations. Prior to joining Willis in November 2000, he headed Reliance Surety Company's International Department where he was responsible for management of the company's international underwriting and operations.

Mr. Anderson's current and past industry activities include: national director, Associated General Contractors of America (AGC); member, AGC National Executive Board; chairman, AGC Service & Supply Council's Executive Committee; member, AGC Charities, Inc., Board of Directors; member, AGC International Committee; member, AGC Surety & Risk Management Committee; member, The Road Information Project (TRIP) Board of Directors; and "at large" member, Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA) Board of Directors.

Mr. Anderson is a frequent speaker on surety industry issues and has published numerous articles and "white papers" on how contractors can establish stable surety programs. He graduated from the Ferris State University (MI) Professional Golf Management Program in 1982, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business.
