Thursday, November 5—Workshop
Workers compensation costs are the single biggest component of most contractors’
risk management programs. It is also the area where contractors have the greatest
opportunity to take steps that can cut their overall costs. This workshop outlines
practical steps contractors can take to ensure they are not paying more for
workers compensation insurance and workers compensation claims than necessary.
From basic strategies like verifying correct worker classifications and the
calculation of the experience modifier, to more advanced techniques such as
deductibles, subrogation, and utilizing the various credits available to contractors,
attendees will leave this workshop armed with ideas for trimming and controlling
workers compensation costs.
