Ms. Kagerer is a copresenter of Workshop W4, “Award-Winning Risk Management,” on Wednesday morning. She is the vice president of Risk/Safety Management with CF Jordan Construction Services, where she directs the risk management functions, including safety management systems, wellness initiatives, insurance, and litigation. Ms. Kagerer’s experience in safety and risk management for both general industry and construction has provided her a unique perspective on how to structure and implement creative solutions to manage risk. Her specialty is safety management system implementations that directly affect corporate culture, insurance procurement, and overall corporate performance. She has received numerous professional awards and designations and is a frequent speaker and writer on risk management/safety-related topics. Ms. Kagerer is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Education and Human Development—Dispute Resolution at SMU in Plano, Texas, and plans to complete in October 2008.

Her professional designations include Certified Safety Professional (CSP), designated through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals; licensed Texas Claims Representative—Property/Casualty, Homeowner & Workers' Compensation and Commercial Agent; Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist (CRIS), IRMI, May 2006; Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Claims Management (AIC), American Insurance Institute and Commercial Property & Casualty Underwriters (AICCPCU). She has been a Risk and Insurance Management Society (RIMS) member since 2002 and was recipient of the 2007 Spencer scholarship. She wrote “Market Trends Affect Contractor Liability,” published in the American Society of Safety Engineers RM/Insight Newsletter, 2007.
