Mr. Dale is copresenting Workshop W8, “Survival Strategies for Home Builders and Residential Developers,” on Wednesday afternoon. He is president and chief executive officer of DBH Resources, Inc. (DBHR), which provides risk-management consulting services to high-risk industries and the insurers that insure them.

Mr. Dale provides overall strategic direction for the corporation. In addition, he acts as the primary outreach on legislative and insurance coverage issues. He serves on the Board of Directors of the California Building Industry Association. Mr. Dale is also a member of the organization’s Evaluation & Strategic Planning and Member Services committees, the Risk Management & Insurance Subcommittee and the Strategic Plan Implementation Team. He also served as the chair of the Construction Dispute Resolution Task Force, which helped negotiate SB 800, landmark construction defect reform legislation in California.

Mr. Dale is a frequent speaker on insurance management and business risk prevention. He has appeared in Business Insurance Magazine, Builder and Developer Magazine, the Orange County Register, The Los Angeles Times, and the Los Angeles, Orange County and San Fernando Valley Business Journals, as both an author and a quoted source on issues related to law and risk management.

Mr. Dale earned his B.A. degree from the University of California, Irvine, and his J.D. degree, magna cum laude, in 1985 from Southwestern University in Los Angeles. His civil litigation law practice encompassed insurance coverage, professional liability, and construction law. He tried many cases to verdict and has several reported appellate decisions.
