Mr. Daigle is copresenting Workshop W6, “Builders Risk Claims and Coverage Issues,” on Wednesday morning. He is the leader of Marsh’s Construction Consulting Practice, which provides industry expertise in project scheduling oversight, project governance and risk assessments, project performance reviews, claims, delay and damages analyses, and expert litigation support. The practice consists of a multidisciplined team of engineers, certified public accountants, project managers, schedule experts, architects, attorneys, and contract specialists.

Mr. Daigle has extensive experience in construction accounting, auditing, claims preparation, project controls, reporting, and construction management consulting. He specializes in dispute resolution and project performance review services. His clients include attorneys, owners, developers, designers, contractors, and subcontractors, engaged in a variety of construction project types.

Mr. Daigle is a frequent author and speaker on construction financial matters. He has assumed leadership responsibilities in various construction associations, such as Chair Member for the National Accounting and Reporting Committee of the Construction Financial Management Association. Prior to working at Marsh, Mr. Daigle was in the construction dispute and advisory practices of KPMG and PricewaterhouseCoopers, as well as the accounting and finance department of Miller and Long Construction, an ENR Top 15 Specialty Contractor (concrete).

Mr. Daigle has been appointed as a financial damages expert for a variety of project types. He has testified as a construction financial damages and claims pricing expert at trial, as well as other forums for dispute proceedings. He has measured various financial impacts including lost productivity, extended and added general conditions, disputed changes, labor escalation, equipment claims, home office overhead, delays, and contract payments.

Mr. Daigle provides construction cost, schedule, and contract audit services for a variety of clients. He has been retained as lead auditor for an array of institutional, infrastructure, and heavy civil projects. Based on his experience with project delivery and contract types, he provides financial and performance assurance to project owners, as well as assists contractors in resolving payment delays.

Mr. Daigle assists clients in maximizing loss recoveries under a variety of construction-related insurance policies, such as Builders Risk, Surety, Errors and Omissions, and Subguard.

He holds a B.S. degree in Business Management from La Salle University. He is affiliated with American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Construction Financial Management Association, and American Bar Association’s forum on the Construction Industry.
