Richard J. Shamis, JD

Mr. Shamis was named senior vice president for Alliant Insurance Services Construction Services Group in April 2015. He is a 30-plus-year industry veteran focusing on construction insurance. Before joining Alliant, he was most recently responsible for coordinating the delivery of construction risk management products and services to Aon’s clients and prospects in the central region. Mr. Shamis was the team leader of several large construction accounts, where he provided leadership, oversight, and troubleshooting skills, program design and insurance/reinsurance marketing talents for current clients. He previously served in various positions at Willis. Mr. Shamis has taught many casualty coverage courses, has made presentations to state organizations such as the Associated General Contractors of America and the Construction Financial Management Association, and has been a frequent IRMI Construction Risk Conference (CRC) speaker.

Mr. Shamis was the 1995 recipient of the IRMI Words of Wisdom (WOW) Award, presented at the 15th IRMI CRC.
