DALLAS—International Risk Management
Institute, Inc. (IRMI), will present several webinars covering various
management and executive liability topics beginning May 18, 2010. The
webinar agendas are designed for risk managers, human resource
professionals, insurance agents and brokers, underwriters, and consultants.
The management liability
insurance webinars include the following topics:
Each of these 60-minute webinars will be presented by a nationally known
insurance brokerage, underwriting, or legal expert who has spent years
working in this specialized field. They will focus on giving you practical
strategies and tactics you can use to make certain your organization is (or
your clients are) properly managing and insuring executive liability risks.
These webinars will give risk managers and insurance agents helpful tactics
for demonstrating the need for employment practices liability (EPL)
insurance to their executive teams or clients. Agents will also enhance
their ability to show owners of privately held businesses why they should
consider purchasing directors and officers (D&O) liability insurance.
Participating in three of these webinars will fulfill the annual
reaccreditation requirement for the MLIS certification.
IRMI president Jack P. Gibson said, “Since these types of insurance are
complex and viewed as costly, many agents are reluctant to recommend them to
their clients and many companies elect not to purchase the insurance when
presented with a quote. Our aim with these webinars is to dispel some of the
myths people rely on in making poor decisions, to give agents knowledge to
confidently recommend and place EPL and private company D&O insurance, and
to help insurance buyers make a meaningful assessment of whether their
organizations need it. Of course, we will also give valuable tips for
assuring the policies purchased adequately address the policyholder’s
exposures.”
This high-quality educational programming will be presented using the
best, state-of-the-art webinar technology available. Each IRMI webinar will
begin at 1:00 p.m. Eastern, last approximately 1 hour, and include
opportunities for participants to ask questions of the presenters. Each
webinar costs $59 per Internet connection, and they will be archived for 6
months following the live broadcast for viewing by registrants who are
unable to view the live event or who wish to view it again. Registrants may
also invite colleagues to participate in a group setting at no extra charge.
