DALLAS—International Risk Management Institute, Inc. (IRMI) is pleased to announce significant improvements in the new version of IRMI Online, which provides Internet access to the 45,000+ page IRMI risk management and insurance reference library.

The IRMI Online user interface has been greatly simplified and features a new, powerful search engine which uses industry-leading Google search technology to provide accurate and relevant search results.

A major enhancement is the integration of all the free IRMI articles and other content that has been available on the IRMI Web site with the paid subscription content previously available in the separate IRMI Online Web site. This provides a far superior navigation system to the users of the free IRMI content and allows subscribers to the IRMI publications to search all of the paid and free content simultaneously.

This free content includes the popular “Expert Commentary” articles—a vast archive of nearly 1,200 risk and insurance articles, written by more than 100 industry practitioners. The Glossary of Insurance and Risk Management Terms, which defines nearly 3,000 risk and insurance terms and is updated periodically by the IRMI research analysts, is also available at no charge.

“Essentially, IRMI.com is now a one-stop source for some of the most in-depth and practical analysis of insurance coverage and risk management options available anywhere,” said Jack P. Gibson, IRMI president. “It is an invaluable resource not only to those who subscribe to our outstanding paid publications, but also for risk and insurance practitioners who do not, and we are committed to making it even better in the future.”

The new IRMI Online home page now initially loads over ten times faster than before. In addition to incorporating the latest Google search technology, a handy table of contents expands and collapses using the familiar look and feel of Windows Explorer to enable risk professionals to drill down into the topics that interest them.
