DALLAS—In response to the
tremendous risk and insurance challenges confronting the
construction industry, International Risk Management Institute, Inc.
(IRMI), announces a new series of four seminars for 2008:
Construction Defect Risk Management and Insurance;
Contract Risk
Management: Tactics for Success;
Wrap-Ups: Beyond the Basics from
Concept to Closeout; and New Industry Contract Documents and Your
Bottom Line.
New AIA and ConsensusDOCS contracts will have significant impacts on the
risks allocated to contractors, and indemnity, additional insured, and other
contractual risk transfer issues remain at the top of the risk management
problem list for many contractors. Back-to-back seminars on contractual risk
transfer topics will allow participants to immerse themselves in the issues and
explore practical solutions to the problems. Construction defect and wrap-ups
are also on the radar screens of most construction risk and insurance
professionals, and updated seminars on these topics will provide in-depth best
practices to avoid problems and maximize opportunities. As with all IRMI
seminars, these come with a money back guarantee of quality.
The seminars will
be held in the following cities: San Diego on March 25-27, Miami on April 8-10,
and Dallas on April 22-24.
The following industry experts will present the
seminars: Jeffrey D. Masters and Michael J. O’Neill will present
Construction
Defect Risk Management and Insurance; Gerald Katz and Frank Keres will present
Contract Risk Management: Tactics for Success; Kathleen A. Creedon, Tracy
Saxe, and Christopher T. Smith will present Wrap-Ups: Beyond the Basics from
Concept to Closeout; and Bill Ernstrom, James E. Frey, and Kevin F. Peartree
will present New Industry Contract Documents and Your Bottom Line.
The
registration fee is $699 for one seminar or $1,298 for two seminars, with
