DALLAS�The 21st IRMI Construction Risk Conference will take place October 29 through November 1, 2001, in New Orleans. The 3 �-day Conference is the only national symposium devoted exclusively to construction, insurance, risk management, loss control, and bonding. The program is designed for construction industry risk management and financial officers, construction project owners, and the insurance and surety agents, brokers, advisers, and underwriters who serve them.

The Construction Risk Conference is redesigned each year and features more than 25 presentations by insurance, safety, legal, and bonding experts from throughout the United States. Some of the topics to be explored include Managing Design-Build Risks; Surety Trends and Developments; Builders Risk Coverage; Wrap-Up Success Stories; General Liability Coverage; Contractors Pollution Liability Insurance; Safety; Risk Financing; What To Expect at Your Next Renewal; Making the Bond Pay; Protecting Contractors' Interests in a Wrap-Up; Employee Leasing; and Maritime Coverages.

The Conference begins with four optional 1-day seminars conducted on Monday, October 29. This year's seminar topics are design-build, construction defects, contractual risk transfer, and risk management boot camp.

Attendees have the option of registering for the entire program Monday through Thursday noon (at $1,050) or Tuesday through Thursday noon (at $900). Contractors and project owners attending for the first time qualify for a special first-timers half-price registration fee of $525. Registration must be made in advance of the meeting.
