Ann Hickman is editor of
Construction Risk Management
and the curriculum director for the IRMI Construction Risk Conference. She coauthored
the original release of
IRMI Workers Comp, a Complete Guide
to Coverage, Laws and Cost Containment, and contributes occasional
articles to
Contractual Risk Transfer
and The
Risk Report. Ms. Hickman is an associate member of the Associated
General Contractors where she serves on the risk management committee’s education
task force.
Ms. Hickman received her MA degree in risk management and insurance from
the University of Georgia, and her BBA degree in finance and insurance from
Eastern Kentucky University. She is a Construction Risk and Insurance Specialist
(CRIS) and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and Associate
in Risk Management (ARM) designations.
Ms. Hickman joined IRMI in 1994. Prior to that, she was on the faculty at
Miami University in Oxford, Ohio and at the University of Georgia in Athens,
where she taught a variety of risk management and insurance courses.
