New Industry Contract Documents and Your Bottom Line

This 2008 seminar has concluded. The information below is provided for you to see the quality of IRMI seminars and to make plans to attend next year.

Description

The AIA has recently revised the A201 contract document, and a new version is coming into use this year. Simultaneously, a new family of contract documents, ConsensusDOCS, has been released by a coalition of leading construction organizations, including the AGC, ASA, ASC, CURT, COAA, and more. Intended to replace the traditional adversarial project environment with one of trust and collaboration, these documents encourage joint decision making, early resolution of disputes, and elimination of waste.

This seminar will review the major changes in the A201, compare the ConsensusDOCS to standard contracts, and highlight the key differences.

Your speakers have had significant involvement in the drafting and review of the ConsensusDOCS documents and actual practice with A201. They will bring unique insight into the changes in the A201, the intent behind the ConsensusDOCS, and practical suggestions on the proper use of these contracts.

To immerse yourself in construction contracts for three days of learning, attend Contract Risk Management: Tactics for Success on the day and a half prior to this seminar. We've designed the two programs to complement each other, and you'll see the principles you learn in the first seminar applied to standard documents in this seminar. Plus you'll save $100 off the combined registration fees!
