Associate in Claims (AIC)

Professional designation awarded by the Insurance Institute of America (IIA) upon successful completion of four national exams. The program leading to this designation consists of four 13-week courses with four national exams, and is most appropriate for experienced adjusters, claims supervisors, and examiners. The program was developed with the technical and financial assistance of the National Association of Independent Insurance Adjusters (NAIIA).
