David W. Nicastro

David Nicastro is the author of the risk management security column for IRMI.com.

Mr. Nicasatro is the founder and president of Secure Source, Inc., a full service international security-consulting firm based in Dallas, with offices in Mexico City and Washington, DC. He is also the executive director of Congressman Michael Burgess’s Homeland Security Advisory Council.

Prior to forming Secure Source, Mr. Nicastro was director of Corporate Security for Koch Industries, the second largest privately owned corporation in America. He also served as a former U.S. Marine Security Guard and was a member of the U.S. Secret Service, Office of Protective Operations.

Mr. Nicastro is a Certified Protection Professional, Certified Fraud Examiner, and former Energy Security Council Chairman with the American Society for Industrial Security. He is a published author and a frequently sought guest by television news programs seeking expert commentary on international security-related issues. His varied experience, coupled with that of Secure Source members, raises the bar in the Private Security Industry.
