Dr. Nathan Gould contributes to the catastrophe risk management column for IRMI.com.
Dr. Gould is a technical manager in the St. Louis office of the EQE Structural
Engineers Division of ABS Consulting, a global engineering and risk mitigation
firm providing structural engineering services related to natural hazards mitigation.
He is a practicing structural engineer with 14 years of experience in the design,
construction, and rehabilitation of major structures in all regions of the United
States. He is the author of several technical papers on the topic of earthquake
engineering and seismic retrofit. Dr. Gould is a licensed professional engineer
in Missouri, California, and Washington D.C., and licensed structural engineer
in Illinois.
