R. Brent Cooper

Mr. Cooper is a named shareholder in the Dallas office of Cooper & Scully,
P.C., where his practice areas include appellate, insurance, business and commercial
law, products liability, insurance defense and bad faith. He is board certified
in personal injury trial law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.
Mr. Cooper has written and spoken on a number of litigation issues including
"Lessor Liability in Aircraft Rental," Journal
of Air Law and Commerce. He has had more than a hundred published appellate
opinions.
A native of Dallas, Mr. Cooper earned his Bachelor of Business Administration, summa cum laude, with distinction, from
Texas A&M University in 1974. He earned his Juris Doctor, cum laude, at Southern Methodist University
in 1977 where he was also Order of the Coif. He is admitted to practice as a
member of the U.S. Supreme Court, Fifth Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals, 11th
Circuit Court of Appeals, D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. District Courts
for the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of Texas, Texas Supreme
Court, and all State Courts.
