Check-in time at the MGM Grand is 3:00 p.m. and checkout time is 11:00 a.m. If you arrive prior to check-in time, you may leave your bags at the bell stand at no charge while waiting for a room to become available.
The majority of IRMI Conference activities will be held in or near the Grand Ballroom, which is on the first level of the MGM Grand Conference Center. The Conference Center is connected to the hotel by enclosed hallways but is approximately a 15-minute walk from the main lobby. (Print a copy of the hotel floor plan for reference or follow the hotel signs.)

Hotel temperatures can vary significantly. Conference areas are often cooler than is comfortable for some attendees, so please dress accordingly or bring a sweater or jacket.

The MGM Grand is roughly 2.5 miles (an approximately 10-minute cab ride) from McCarran International Airport. Average one-way cab fare is $10 from the airport.
If you will have a car, complimentary valet parking is available at the hotel main entrance. Free self-parking is also available at the MGM Grand main parking garage. Driving directions from McCarran International Airport are provided below.

Follow signs for airport exit.
Take ramp going toward Swenson Street/Tropicana Avenue. Merge onto Tropicana Avenue going west.
For valet parking, go through the intersection at Koval Lane and then turn right into the hotel main entrance.
For self-parking, turn right on Koval Lane, then make the first left into the MGM property; parking garage is on the left.

Conference registration is located outside the Grand Ballroom on the first floor of the Conference Center. Registration times vary as noted below.
If you are registered for the optional Monday workshops, you may register from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. Sunday, November 6, and from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday, November 7.
If you are registered for the Tuesday – Thursday Conference only, you may register from 3:30 - 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 7, or from 7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 8.

Conference workshops begin at 9:00 a.m. Monday through Wednesday. Thursday morning workshops start at 8:30 a.m.
A complimentary continental breakfast is provided each morning in the Grand Ballroom. Breakfast is available 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and 7:30 – 8:30 a.m. on Thursday.

You will receive a personal agenda in your registration packet that reflects your workshop selections as well as all official Conference functions. There is no need to call prior to the Conference if you have forgotten your workshop selections.

Messages can be left for attendees by calling (702) 891-1111 (the hotel's main number) and asking for the IRMI Help Desk.

Dress for the Conference is business or business casual. Based on prior years, approximately half the attendees wear formal office attire, while the other half wear business casual attire, with a larger percentage choosing business casual on the last day of the Conference. Feel free to wear whichever style you prefer.
Generally speaking, business casual is one step away from formal office attire. Men should feel comfortable wearing a sports coat instead of a suit, or a nice, long-sleeved collared shirt with or without a tie. Women can appropriately wear skirts or slacks with coordinating blouses, sweaters, and jackets if desired. See illustrations of acceptable business casual attire.
Because hotel temperatures can vary significantly, please dress appropriately or bring a sweater or jacket if you tend to get cold.

The Conference has been approved for continuing education credit in most states. See the Continuing Education section of the IRMI Web site for more information or to find out how many hours of credit are available for your profession or state.
If you will be requesting CE credit, remember to bring your license number with you as we cannot process your request without that information.

If your plans change at the last minute and you will not be able to attend the Conference after all, you can either send someone in your place (no extra charge) or cancel your registration. If you cancel your registration, you may be entitled to a partial refund, depending on when we receive notification of your cancellation. We anticipate a final attendance of more than 1,500 individuals.
A participant list is included in your Conference workbook. We do not distribute this information in advance of the Conference.
