LAS VEGAS—Diana Eichfeld, a
four-time IRMI Construction Risk Conference speaker, was honored
with IRMI’s Words of Wisdom Award here during the 25th anniversary
celebration of the IRMI Construction Risk Conference. The Words of
Wisdom, or “WOW,” Award recognizes a speaker who has made an
outstanding contribution to the construction and insurance
industries by unselfishly sharing his or her risk and insurance
expertise with exceptional delivery skills at the annual Conference
hosted by International Risk Management Institute, Inc.
The award was presented to Ms. Eichfeld, who is Assistant Vice
President at XL Insurance, in Exton, PA , before an audience of more
than 1,500. IRMI President Jack Gibson explained why Ms. Eichfeld is
an appropriate choice for the prestigious award.
“Diana was selected for this honor because she is such an
outstanding presenter. Her speaker ratings are always near the top,
which is quite an accomplishment since we have 60 or more speakers
on the program each year,” Mr. Gibson said. “Diana’s expertise is in
the area of environmental liability, and she does not hold back on
the information she provides. Thus, she has helped more than 1,000
construction risk professionals become better managers of
environmental liability exposures through her talks at the
Conference.”
Ms. Eichfeld’s presentations at the IRMI Construction Risk
Conference have covered a variety of environmental topics, including
the use of environmental safety regulations as a risk management
tool, construction waste and the environment, contractors pollution
liability insurance, and emerging environmental issues. Ms. Eichfeld
has also been an instructor on the United States Environmental
Protection Agency’s hazardous materials incident response team. In
1996, a specialized training program she developed for the
construction industry was recognized by Risk and Insurance magazine
as one of the top 10 risk management services.
Ms. Eichfeld is the sixteenth winner of the WOW Award. Previous
