Staff Accountant

The IRMI Accounting Department is looking for an experienced accountant with a positive attitude who enjoys working independently and as part of a team. This newly created position will report to the Controller.

Responsibilities:

  • Reconciling specific general ledger accounts
  • Entering recurring journal entries and adjusting journal entries
  • Researching P&L account variances to assist with management reporting
  • Contributing to budgets and financial projections
  • Reporting and accounting for IRMI Continuing Education curriculums and related services
  • Assisting with various accounting projects

Qualifications:

  • General ledger and account reconciliation experience
  • Intermediate – Advanced Proficiency with MS Excel
  • Strong organization skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Great Plains Dynamics experience a plus

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance

Sales Representative

Would You Like to Sell for IRMI?

We are looking for a hard-working individual to sell IRMI reference manuals, books, and newsletters by phone in tandem with computer demonstrations. Candidates must have 2 or more years of sales experience related to commercial lines.

The “IRMI Way” of selling is a consultative approach which involves learning about the prospect’s needs and how IRMI products can help insurance and risk management professionals design better insurance and risk management programs, negotiate claims disputes, and build client trust.

You would be working Monday through Friday 37.5 hours/week. No overtime or weekend work other than occasional exhibiting at a major conference and occasional trips for on-site demonstrations.
